FAQs
HOW DO I KNOW COACHING WILL WORK FOR ME?

Coaching, like anything else in life, is as effective as the amount of effort you’re willing to put in. If you commit to doing the work, I can promise with integrity that the results will compound over time and spill over to affect every aspect of your life—in the best way possible! In today’s world, we are trained to learn, grow, and manage anything and everything in life except our minds. Once you become aware of your “default programming,” you can apply these tools and resources from coaching to all aspects of your life.
IS COACHING CONFIDENTIAL?

Yes! Barring mandatory reporting requirements (i.e., intent to harm to yourself or others), everything discussed within a coaching session is 100% confidential.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COACHING AND THERAPY?

Coaching and therapy serve two very different purposes. Therapy is typically reserved for non or low-functioning individuals who need to be brought to a place of higher-functioning capacity. It is also typically centered on healing the past in order to better operate in the present. Coaching on the other hand, is exclusively reserved for functioning (or high functioning) individuals looking to identify or break patterns in their present to move them forward towards a goal or future state. That’s not to say coaching does not go deep (it’s pretty much guaranteed!) – it simply uses different tools and techniques to get there.
IS COACHING EFFECTIVE IF I’M ALREADY IN THERAPY/COUNSELING?

Yes. Coaching and therapy can work in tandem to create tangible, sustainable results across multiple facets of a person’s life. For example, a small business owner may pursue therapy to address deep-seated trauma and coaching to improve their confidence or imposter syndrome in the workplace. The modalities are not mutually exclusive. Note: If you are already seeing a mental health professional, please consult him/her prior to soliciting or engaging coaching services.
WHY IS PAYMENT REQUIRED UP FRONT?

Coaching is as much a gift to your future self as it is an investment. It requires you to work hard and dig deep – often dredging up thoughts and emotions that have lain dormant for years, perhaps decades. Payment up front solidifies your commitment to the process in its entirety rather than giving yourself the option to commit (or not commit) weekly. As Kobe Bryant is famous for saying, “I’m not negotiating with myself. The deal was already made.” This is the same mindset that benefits most from coaching.
DO YOU OFFER VETERAN OR ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY DISCOUNTS?

Yes. A 10% discount is available with proof of service (i.e., DD214, Veteran ID card, etc.).
WHY ARE YOUR COACHING PACKAGES 3-6 MONTHS?

Unlike therapy or other modalities of counseling, coaching is not intended to be a long-term commitment. Its purpose is to identify issues (i.e., root cause vs. symptoms treatment), empower you with self-sustaining strategies, and move you forward.
In other words, my job is to work myself out of a job!
